Are you facing a "Taxing Situation?"

This time of year our thoughts turn, usually reluctantly, to Income Tax.

This year, your tax situation could provide a financial benefit for Summerville Church. An ongoing promotion by H&R Block to attract new clients can result in participating non-profit organizations receiving donations from the company. For each new client who is referred by the organization to H&R Block, and who has a tax return prepared and filed by the company, a $25 donation will be made at the end of the tax season. Summerville's Session approved participation last year.

If you are thinking of having H&R Block prepare your tax returns this year, bring a copy of Summerville's program flyer (which contains the proper coupon code for Summerville) with you to the tax office, or direct the tax pro to print a flyer from Summerville's web site. A "new client" for the purposes of this offer means someone who didn't get their last year's tax return prepared in an H&R Block retail office.  The offer is good at any participating H&R Block office in the country (as far as we know), so if you know any Friends of Summerville who now live outside the area, let them know about this. if you have questions, see Steve Hedges, or email him using s_c_hedges@yahoo.com.
